Overview of Journal Entries


Journal Entries allow you to enter accounting transactions directly into the General Ledger without going through the Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable part of the system.

Like all financial transactions in Lynx, Journal Entries are entered in batches. The big difference is that Journal Entries are always entered as "double entry" transactions. That is, they require both a debit and a credit entry and they must balance.
