Simply go to Quick A/R Balance from the Bookkeeping Menu under Accounts Receivable.

This will show you your total receivables as of this second.

Yes. Use the Age Accounts procedure and select the date you want to age "as of" from the drop-down calendar on the Format an Accounts Receivable Report window

Note: To age from a date earlier than today, you must have the Customer Preference for Deleting Accounts set to "No".

The reason for this is that if you allow accounts to be deleted, you will lose their historical transactions thereby making the aging incorrect. Setting this preference to "No" will keep these records in the system and include them in the aging process. By the way, even if you choose to not delete accounts, you can still make them "inactive" when you Set Up Account Preferences (Accounts Receivable).

The system is designed so that your period-end (month-end) statements show a beginning balance as of the previous billing date (typically a month ago) with details of each invoice since then also showing. This is done by using the Roll-Up All Invoices procedure.

If this is not what your statements show, one of two things could have happened:

1. Too much detail shows on the statement. This means that roll-up date is too far back. To fix it, use the Roll-Up All Invoices procedure using the previous months billing date.

2. Not enough detail shows on your statements. This means that the roll-up date is not back far enough. To fix it, use the Roll-Up All Invoices procedure using the date you want to show details back to (again, this should be previous months billing date).

In both cases, make sure that Rental Charges and Finance Charges are turned off so that they do not get charged again. Then re-run Prepare Statements, Print Statements, and Roll-up All Invoices.

This is undoubtedly because you failed to filter the statements before printing them.

When you left-click the "Print Statements Now" button, a Format screen will appear.

Make sure you check the "Balance" filter and include a range in the FROM and THRU fields of 5.00 (or whatever minimum amount you do not want to send out statements for) and 99,999.99.

This will then make sure that only those statements that fall within this range will print.

Anything below 5.00 (in this example) as well as all zero and credit balances will not be included.

This is probably because you did not assign the POS taxes to the individual tank.

This must be done for POS taxes (in addition to setting up taxes for the product and the account) because POS taxes are dependent on the location of the tank.
